Except for washing my face, I prefer Baudelaire's wool sea sponge to a wash cloth, regardless of the fabric. The comfort of a sea sponge is indulgent. Until recently, I always bought the smaller size. However, I find that the larger is just as convenient a size as the smaller, and the larger seems to hold its shape better. Sooner or later, the smaller comes apart. I have not had a larger that has begun to come apart. This sea sponge helps to make the daily shower as much a moment of pleasure as a necessity.
